School Advanced's School Division is currently looking to staff a speech-language pathologist in a school setting in the Ashburn, VA area.
The ideal applicant will be familiar with language, communication, and articulation disorders.
The duties of the job are to prevent and identify communication problems in students and help develop their skills.
The SLP will assess communication skills through tests and the results are used to develop and implement IEPs.
They collaborate and explain the student's progress to school staff and parents and help develop an individualized course of action for each student.
Good organizational skills are necessary as they will have to keep proper documentation, daily notes, and care plans.
