Account Executive - Eastern US

A Contegix Account Executive is a self-motivated sales professional responsible for expanding revenue in their account base and driving new market share in their territory. Qualities key to success include a hunter mentality, strong work ethic, and a passion for winning. The Account Executive is a peer leader on our high performing team, as well as a trusted consultant to the clients we serve. This role also requires responsiveness, resourcefulness, and a moderate level of technical knowledge.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Provide account management and sales coverage for assigned accounts.
Ensure client satisfaction.
Maintain and grow existing contracts and account services revenue.
Maintain and grow wallet share of product purchases.
Identify new opportunities for services, contracts and products sales.
Develop and close opportunities that extend Contegix relationships.
Prospecting & New Business growth - Identify, market to and seek to establish Contegix relationships with an assigned list of prospects, as well as prospects you uncover.
Create opportunities ? target and connect with prospects and clients, explore needs, and qualify opportunities. Load opportunities into the CRM pipeline tool and update status throughout lifecycle of the opportunity.
Manage opportunities ? allocate resources to qualified opportunities to provide advice and propose options. Manage the sales process through closing.
Competencies & Technical Knowledge
General understanding of datacenter technology and hosting industry.
General awareness and understanding of data compliance programs such as HIPAA, PCI/DSS, and FedRAMP.
General infrastructure knowledge in cloud technologies - AWS, Azure, and VMware.
General knowledge of Agile methodologies and ALM tools such as Github, Atlassian, Jira and Confluence.
General knowledge and understanding of Content Management Systems - Drupal and Wordpress.
Key Measurements
The Account Executive role is a pay-for-performance role based upon fulfillment of responsibilities and attainment of annual sales plan. The following measures are key to success and annual sales plans will be designed around metrics such as:
Number of Qualified Opportunities
New Account Acquisition
Average Account Billing
Year over Year Existing Customer Growth
Quota Achievement
Key Requirements
Must be comfortable and effective calling at the Executive level (CEO, COO, CFO, EVP, CIO, etc).
Must be effective working in a consultative sales methodology that provides business value to the client.
Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle a variety of customer situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
Must be able to recognize and recommend solutions to various challenges and technical situations.
Work requires continual attention to detail and documentation and tracking in the CRM tool.
Work requires ability to prioritize tasks and be responsive to clients and team members.
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
3-5 years' experience preferred.
Overall responsiveness is extremely important and key to success in this role.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
