Mechanical Engineer

We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Engineer.
The ideal applicant for this position will have a minimum of five years of experience working on team design projects in a technical role, and a strong passion for engineering. The primary focus of this position is mechanical design of Unmanned Air System (UAS) hardware. Experience in various aspects of product development, Computer Aided Design (CAD), and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) will help the applicant to quickly adapt to the fast-paced development cycle within our division. Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software is strongly desired, as is the ability to quickly create functional prototype and conceptual designs. Our program mechanical design teams are typically small groups of 2-4 people. The ability to work independently, with minimal guidance, is essential. Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with the design team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
5 years of experience using PTC Pro/Engineer or Creo. Strong CAD design skills are a requirement for this position.
Proficiency with fabrication and assembly techniques. The ability to assemble and modify complex assemblies is required.
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills to facilitate communications with team members, customers, and senior leadership
Demonstrate excellent organizational, decision-making and problem solving skills
United States citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility. Current TS/SSBI is preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SSBI is required.
Responsibilities:
Design mechanical components and assemblies to meet program requirements.
Perform structural analyses of components and assemblies.
Assemble, install, and modify mechanical systems.
Interface with fabrication and assembly technicians during integration and production phases of product development.
Interface with other engineering groups, particularly Electrical and Aero, to develop designs based on requirements.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
