Qualifications:

Virginia Pupil Personnel Services License with an endorsement in school psychology
Specialist or doctoral degree in school psychology or a related discipline in child psychology
Strong oral and written communication abilities and productive time management skills
Leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and colleagues
Bilingual skills in Spanish strongly preferred
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:
The school psychologist reports to the Supervisor of Diagnostic and Prevention Services.

Job Description:
? The school psychologist provides a broad array of psychological services including assessment, consultation, prevention and intervention, consistent with best practices and in accordance with policies and regulations of the School Board.
Responsibilities:
?
Conducts psychological evaluations to assess children s cognitive, social/emotional, and behavioral functioning and their educational needs and writes comprehensive psychological reports and holds parent conferences to discuss results
Participates as an active member of the Pupil Services Student Support Team and the Child Study Committee to effect school-based interventions for general education students:
assists children and youth with emotional and behavioral disabilities and provides counseling services for these students; attends eligibility meetings to assist in the determination that a child has a disability and needs special education services
Consults and collaborates with school administration, instructional staff, and parents regarding the individual behavioral and academic needs of students using evidence based approaches
Assists in the implementation and provides coaching for the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program and provides consultative services using a Response to Intervention (RTI) approach for selected schools
Provides crisis intervention in response to critical incidents using the National Association of School Psychologist s PREPaRE curriculum, presents the Depression Awareness/Suicide Prevention program to high school students, assists in conducting both threat assessments and suicide screenings, and assists with Restorative Practice conferences
Performs other duties and accepts other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or Director of Diagnostic and Prevention Services

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
