Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Data Center Operations Manager to manage the data center operations team and lead them to new levels of performance for our customers. The DC Operations Manager leads DC Team leaders and DC operations employees through administrative procedures, technical problems, personal development, DC processes, and key priorities.

Responsibilities:
Supervises day-to-day activities of Data Center Operations Technicians across all shifts in a 24x7 environment through a team of Team Leaders.
Ensures that production schedules and commitments are met and the Data Center maintains 100% uptime through impeccable housekeeping and robust operational discipline.
Ensures adherence to global processes and quality control standards for all work performed by the team.
Monitors and reports on operational performance to the DC General Manager and leadership team.
Recommends changes in procedures or equipment that would increase productivity, reduce cost, and better serve Data Center requirements and customers.
Coordinates activities and improvements with peer leaders at other Rackspace Data Centers internationally.
Ensure training of employees on policies and procedures and engages them in change.
Recommends employees for hiring, firing, promotions and demotions.
Provides recommendations on pay reviews.
Prepares and performs performance appraisals and mentors team leads to deliver these effectively.
Sets cascading goals and targets for Team leads and their teams.
Acts as a mentor for both leaders and operational staff.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Strong leadership, decision making and communication skills.
Acts FANATICALLY in all aspects of customer service.
Exhibits a great attitude with internal customers and external parties.
Associate''s degree in a technology related field. At the manager's discretion, experience may substitute for education.
5
years of experience working in or with Data Centers (or other complex IT environments) is preferred.
Good understanding of IT systems including Window/Unix operating systems, server hardware platforms and networking technologies.
Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory or management level experience.
Experience in building out server infrastructure is preferred.
Experience in leading and organizing team and organization wide projects.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
