As a Frequency Protection Analyst in our Sterling, VA office, you will be responsible for monitoring the protection status of client facilities and identifying the potential cases of interference by performing frequency analysis using Comsearch analysis programs and other pertinent information from radio and antenna vendors, the National Spectrum Manager's Association, FCC requirements, and other industry resources.
This position maintains consistent client contact to advise them of their facilities' protection status by responding to inquiries, reporting potential interference problems, and corresponding with the client on non-technical issues requiring feedback.
In addition, this position will act as the protection agent for clients by communicating with other microwave users, frequency coordinators, and the FCC to acquire frequency usage information, as well as maintain and ensure accuracy and completeness of frequency protection services by reviewing, verifying, and monitoring Prior Coordination Notices and FCC Public Notice conflicts and other related information.
Resolves complex interference problems or special case situations thorough examination.
Candidates for this position must consistently exhibit good customer service skills orally and in writing.
This includes excellent turn-around time on assigned analysis, good organization, keeping the client advised of pending issues, and adaptability to client requests.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
Understanding sophisticated math, physics, and essential communications engineering concepts to conduct analyses and interpret results.
Confirmed customer service experienceAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, managers, clients, and the general public.
Proficiency in Windows suite of office toolsYou Will Excite Us If You Have Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or other STEM disciplineProven understanding of interference analysis, microwave design, RF power density measurements and technologies such as GSM, CDMA, GPRS, UMTS, HSDPA, WiMax and LTE.
