We are seeking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant to help us keep growing.
This individual will join a multi-person team to provide professional and direct assistance on a regular, on-going, and fast-paced basis.
Responsibilities for Medical AssistantoAssist PAs with medical treatments and proceduresoAssist Plastic Surgeons with medical treatments, procedures, and examsoPrepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health historyoScribe and chart for PhysiciansoAssist in the Surgery Center and ORoPrepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instrumentsoManage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate suppliesoReceive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patientsoCheck-out patients, assist in scheduling future appointments, assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory servicesoHandle billing processoAssist patients in purchasing medical-grade skincare productsQualifications for Medical AssistantoBachelor's degree; in related field preferredoStrong interest in Aesthetics and Plastic SurgeryoAbility to always communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manneroAbility to work well in a small, high-energy organization; a team player willing to take on new challenges with demonstrated ability to partner with staff and member volunteers.
oExcellent interpersonal skillsoExceptional attention to detailoExcellent organizational and prioritization skills; able to handle multiple tasks, projects and priorities effectively and professionally.
oComputer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheet, social media apps, Internet applications, membership databases) and willingness to learn new platforms as required.
