Job Description:
As a Software Quality Engineer, you will represent the Quality Assurance Team by reviewing software produced during development and revised during ongoing production in support of multiple programs.
You will work with software development teams, integration teams, and test engineers to provide quality oversight of software design.
The Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) division is a part of L3Harris' Agile Development Group and specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.
Essential Functions:
Review unit test software for compliance with the Software Development Process and coding standards and guidelines.
Review software requirements flowed down by Systems Engineering to determine that developed software meets requirements.
Provide input into new software products/processes.
Document and communicate product and process non-conformances and coordinate with engineering to resolve technical/quality issues.
Perform technically complex failure analysis investigations, root cause determination and effective and timely corrective actions, including proactive measures.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances as requiredAbility to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as requiredAbility to lift up to 20 poundsUp to 10% travel may be requiredOther duties as required

citizenActive DoD clearance with current 6-year updateBachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Fluent in C/C++Experience developing and testing real-time embedded softwareExperience with Version Control ToolsExperience with software bug/issue trackingExperience designing and integrating technical software solutions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office productsPreferred Additional Skills:
Experience with reading/creating UML/SysML artifacts to fully describe software architecture and designUnderstanding of various coding methods and computer languagesExperience developing software in/for LinuxActive DoD clearance with current 6 year update preferredExcellent problem-solving skills (root cause analysis experience)Experience with GreenHills Integrity RTOSExperience with GitlabExperience with Atlassian Tool Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, etc.
