Summary:
Manages a team of Cubic corporate accountants and its subsidiaries. This position also manages the preparation of monthly financial statements for Cubic entities and subsidiaries. This position works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority. Essential Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Manage organisation's finance systems efficiently and effectively to maximise the resources available to achieve strategic and operational objectives Work with regional leadership team and develop short, medium, and longer term financial strategy. Prepare the annual budget and periodic forecasts. Develop and maintain a monthly reporting, forecasting and benchmarking tool. Identify key financial trends which positively and negatively impact the organization along with communicating these impacts on a timely basis Ensure that financial management systems/financial policy framework are supported by internal financial standards and controls that conform with US GAAP Manages the Monthly Financial Statement Close Process. Prepares or reviews account analyses for management and internal/external auditors. Develop and implement strategies for the effective management of internal resources which deliver long term sustainable value and excellent performance Provide financial reporting and cost estimating support to the Program Teams Understand and streamline all key financial processes in order update SOX documentation and prepare the organization for an upcoming SAP implementation. Maintain regular communication and support to the Corporate Accounting Team and outside auditors which includes being the key resources around answering any business consolidation related questions. Minimum Job Requirements:
Four-year college degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent, plus eight years related experience, preferably in a contracting and/or manufacturing environment. CPA certification or MBA preferred. Public accounting experience as well as experience managing a finance and accounting department desired. Demonstrated success in building and managing effective finance & accounting departments. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting requirements. Working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred. Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel, management and external. Good oral and written communication skills. Able to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects, and work under deadlines. Ability to occasionally travel for extended periods.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
AccountingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
